National Council for Children Services (NCCS) is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Senior Information Communications Technology Officer – NCCS 6. The successful candidate will support the organization’s ICT operations through systems administration, technical support, network management, cybersecurity implementation, and ICT project coordination.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Writing, testing, verifying, and enhancing computer programs and ICT systems.
- Providing technical user support and troubleshooting ICT-related issues.
- Monitoring server performance and implementing preventive maintenance for ICT infrastructure and equipment.
- Managing ICT systems administration, network operations, and server environments.
- Maintaining an up-to-date ICT inventory and asset management register.
- Supporting ICT project implementation, deployment, and system upgrades.
- Implementing cybersecurity controls, data protection measures, and network security best practices.
- Supporting database administration, system deployment, and software maintenance activities.
- Coordinating ICT procurement processes and vendor support services.
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring operational efficiency of ICT infrastructure.
- Supporting disaster recovery, data backup, and information security processes.
- Assisting in the implementation of ICT policies, standards, and operational procedures.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must have:
- A cumulative service period of six (6) years, three (3) of which must be at the grade of ICT Officer or in a comparable position.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional certifications in one or more of the following areas:
- Systems and Server Administration certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or CompTIA.
- Programming, database, and system deployment certifications such as MCSD, SQL, AWS, or Oracle.
- Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, HCNA, or HCNP.
- Security and data protection certifications such as CISM, CISA, or Ethical Hacking.
- Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2.
- Experience in ICT project management and implementation.
- Proven experience in ICT support, systems administration, and network management.
- Familiarity with ICT procurement processes and vendor management.
- Membership in ISACA or another relevant professional body.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cybersecurity principles, and ICT security best practices.
- Experience implementing security controls, cybersecurity measures, and data protection systems.
